Justification Contains A,E, and calcium.

Provides only 100iu which is ¼ of RDI, but greater than most supplements.

Contains 100IU of Vitamin D but lower levels of other potentially toxic constituents thus permitting higher intake over the day Designed as an asthma supplement but contains high levels of D (110iu) as well as calcium, A, and C.
Prescription Range

RDA for D is 400ius.

Recommended dose is 1 tablet daily yielding only 100iu/day. Recommended dose is 1 tablet daily yielding only 100iu/day.

Can use higher amounts because A is low.

Recommended dosage is 1g of powder tds which yields up to 330ius of D per day.

Care must be taken with A content (2500iu) per dose.

Contraindications Care with Vitamin A content. May cause slight nausea due to B3.

May be hypersensitivity to any ingredient.

Recommended start with ½ a tablet.

Should be taken separately to prescribed medications.

Care with Vitamin A content.
Practical Considerations Could not find ‘stand-alone’ Vitamin D in practitioner products.   Powder may introduce problems with compliance – especially as tds recommended.

Justification Halibut oil is a great source of Vitamin D (well absorbed).

No other constituents to complicate!

Cannot use in pregnancy due to high A content
